“A Guiness at midsummer”

Cycled 5 miles along Thorpe Lane to sit in the lovely rose bedecked garden at The Bell.
The company was good and the landlords son played footy on the lawn.

Most Appealing! Paul and Clare Ring the changes at The Bell.

Just had a wonderful Sunday lunch here with friends. Food really is home cooked and delicious. We shared a large fish platter as a starter which we all heartily recommend. Best of all you get to sit in this wonderful oak beamed pub-restaurant which has a great ambience. The new owners Paul and Clare made us feel most welcome and chatted to us about the new Adnams wine that will be on the menu shortly. Good to see a traditional Suffolk pub being brought back to life. We will return soon.

Cycled to the Bell for lunch.

Good beer and the crispiest batter on the haddock and chips.
So recommend the lovely garden, the beer & the food

Highly Recommended

We went for Sunday lunch, warm welcome on arrival and we got a table opposite the bar as we came with our boxer dog so could not dine in the main restaurant area. All of the staff were helpful and friendly and cannot praise them highly enough on how they went out of their way to provide a friendly service. Two of us had traditional Sunday roasts which were really good and the other not being a roast lover had fish cakes and salad which was really nice. As well as the quality being very good, excellent Adnams ale on draught, the prices were very good value and not only will we recommend this but will certainly go back again. It is so nice to see a traditional Suffolk village pub re-opening again and being busy with great ambience. With what we experienced today it should continue to remain so.
